The package
Snow on the deodars, mist on the lake.
Dalhousie in season is a different town. From late December through February, the deodar canopy holds snow for days — soft, slow snowfall that drifts past the balcony at midnight, and a stillness in the morning that feels almost cinematic. From July through September, the monsoon rolls up the valley in long grey sweeps, the cloud sitting at eye-level with the rooms, the forest dripping a kind of green you don't see anywhere else.
This package is built for guests who want to be here when Dalhousie is at its most scenic. The rooms run central heating throughout the cold months — none of the patchy room-heater experience that hill homestays sometimes settle for. Hot meals are freshly cooked on demand from the kitchen; in winter that's mountain comfort food, in monsoon it's pakoras and ginger chai on the covered verandah.
Bonfire on the lawn on request, weather permitting — for snowfall season especially, there's nothing quite like the ring of fire on a clear cold night. Live singing on request (payable) for groups who want a soundtrack to the mountains. Tell us when you're coming and we'll quote.
